Do you have a deep seated love of classic cars and hot rods? Does the Sonic second Friday of the month cruise-in just take too long to come around? Finally, do you have Tuesday mornings free from around 7 to 9 a.m. to stuff yourself with what could be the best breakfast food in Tehachapi? I have the total solution for you: join the folks for breakfast at Satterfield’s Restaurant and get the best of both worlds.
Some of Tehachapi's sweetest rides spend Tuesday mornings from 7 to 9 a.m. at Satterfields, located at 20424 Brian Way. You'll find a different selection each week of vintage beauties. I found out what the attraction is that brings them back week after week.
It's their menu, boasting 106 different omelettes. Yes that's really 106. It would take you 3-1/2 months to get through omelettes 1 to 106, starting from New Year’s Day all the way to St. Patrick's Day without having the same omelette twice! These aren't the small sissy omelettes you find at some places. These are the huge ones that make one think of a football and they're cooked to perfection. These are the “skip lunch 'cuz you're still full” kind of omelettes.
Are you more of a pancake type? Satterfield’s short stack can feed a small army. Bacon, sausage, eggs, potatoes and so much more are also available on their menu. Coffee flows continuously, making the dining experience nothing short of terrific.
Not a car buff? Don't let that keep you away from a great meal. They are also open for lunch, which is equally great. But don't take my word for it, try it for yourself and you be the judge.
