0 responses 0 comments The Horse Thief Women’s Golf Club in Stallion Springs held their annual President’s Cup on June 20 and 21. The tournament was flighted and the winner was the player with the lowest net score for the combined two days.
Judy Theriault, with a net two day score of 140, won the coveted title for 2006.
First flight winners: first place Darlene Schumacher with 146, second place Joan Smullins with 149 and third Bettie Azevedo with 151. Second flight winner: first place Kelli Elverum with 144, second Marilyn Wells with 159 and third Jackie Scarano with 160.
During the tournament there were four birdies: Lynette Spencer on the seventh and fifth holes, Joan Smullins on the seventh hole and Bettie Azevedo on the fifth hole.
There were four chip–ins: Darlene Schumacher on the fifth hole, Lynette Spencer on the fifth hole and Joan Smullins on the eighth and the sixteenth holes. The tournament ended with a pot luck luncheon at the home of Maria Carbone.
