Little League Representing Tehachapi in Tournament of Champions

A handful of Tehachapi Little League All-Star teams are in the thick of the hunt in the quest for a Northern Minor Baseball championship, with the Tehachapi #1 and #2 teams in the tournament quarterfinals after victories over California City and Rosamond’s #1 team, respectively. Both minor teams were in quarterfinal action, both against Lakes #1 and #2, with the winners to face off in the Northern Minor Baseball championship and the tournament semifinals.
In the majors, Tehachapi #1 succumbed to Kern River #2 in round two, while Tehachapi #2 defeated Edwards AFB #1 but fell short against Boron in round two.
In the junior division, Tehachapi #2 lost to Rosamond #1 in the first round while Tehachapi #1 fell to the Kern River #2 team.
In the senior division, Tehachapi had a game against Quartz Hill-Lancaster last Thursday but results were not available at press time.
In senior division softball, both Tehachapi #1 and #2 teams lost in the second round to end their All-Star years.
In softball minors action, Tehachapi #1 defeated Mojave and Tehachapi #2 took down Rosamond to move into the quarterfinals. Both teams will face Kern River’s #1 and #2 teams, respectively, with a berth in the Northern Minor Baseball championship on the line.
The major division also had good results from Tehachapi teams, with the #1 and #2 teams taking down Cal City and Mojave to move into the quarterfinals. Tehachapi #1 faced off against Rosamond #1 and Tehachapi #2 played Kern River for a berth in the tournament semifinals last Saturday.
