1) Madison Cleveland, 5 marched in the children’s parade as the Statue of Liberty, her brother, Matthew, as Uncle Sam and sister, Madeleine, paraded with lollipop in mouth as a sparkler.

2) Grandmother Mary Anne Hornbeck Said her grandson, Josiah, 4, pictured here, is her little freedom rider. When asked why he flashes the peace sign he said he wants world peace.

3) Sammie Teplansky, 2, contemplates her participation in the upcoming parade.

4) Engineer Waylon Parks, 3, guides the Tehachapi Express down the parade route.

5) Jeremy Horvath (right), 12 and Savannah Grier(left), 9, inspect Jeremy’s pigs prior to the Children’s Parade on July 4.

Each year I look forward to seeing the kids in the paper from the 4th of july prade. I think the Engineer Waylan Parks is so adorable.He looks like a smart boy that any Grandma would love to hug and kiss. XOXOXO
