0 responses 0 comments Alpine resident Seaman Fabian Rodriguez, of the U.S. Coast Guard, is returning from Kaneohe Bay Marine Corps Air Station in Hawaii. He completed training in rappelling, urban warfare tactics, air assault and joint maneuvers. Rodriguez is part of port security in San Pedro. He will continue port security training in Yorktown, Va. in August. Training consisted of maritime law enforcement weapons familiarization, unit missions, counter terrorism and methods of providing security assistance for unit operations. Rodriguez also finished his freshman year at California State University, Fullerton in mechanical engineering.
