Alpine resident Private First Class Anthony Rodriguez will be completing basic training at Fort Benning, Ga. on Aug. 4 for the U.S. Army. He will be reporting to the California National Guard 223rd Infantry at Camp San Louis Obispo. Rodriguez will be a senior at Tehachapi High School this year. Upon graduation he will attend Marion Military Institute in Alabama.
