Get ready for “Kool Times” at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church’s Vacation Bible School led by McAvoy Family Ministries, to be held July 1 to Aug. 4, from 9 a.m. to noon each day at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, located at 329 S. Mill St.
All children from preschool through sixth grade are welcome to attend.
“Kool Times” is the theme for this year. We will be celebrating different times during the church year — Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter and Pentecost. Each day we will immerse ourselves in that particular “season” or “holiday.” There will be teaching on what that season means and why we celebrate it. We’ll have advent wreaths, Christmas decorating, an “ashes” and “Egg-stravaganza” and ask the Holy Spirit to set them “on fire for the Lord” to go out to their world.
Nate and Robin McAvoy started the ministry to "bring families together to spread the saving message of Jesus Christ." McAvoy Family Ministries, from Mesa, Ariz., includes their children David, Joshua and Noah.
