HTCCWGC goes to semi-finals

0 responses 0 comments The Horse Thief Women’s Golf Club B team qualified for the semi-finals competition played at Sierra Lakes Golf Club in Fontana on July 26. The Horse Thief team competed with the San Juan Hills Country Club Women’s Golf Club in the net score category, losing by only three points.
This year the team play involved six 18-hole rounds of four-ball match play, held during the months of May and June. The six rounds were played at Silver Lakes Country Club in Helendale, the Valencia Golf Club in Valencia, the Oak Tree Country Club in Bear Valley and the Horse Thief Country Club in Stallion Springs. Team play is governed under the guidance and rules of the Women’s Southern California Golf Association.
Participating ladies from the HT WC were Bettie Azevedo, Betty Buss, Maria Carbone, Dianne Cooper, Kelli Elverum, Aurelia Lazenby, Maureen Reilly, Jackie Scarano, Darlene Schumacher, Joan Smullins, Judy Theriault, Margie Williams and the team captain, Marilyn Wells.
