Mr. Caudle has said that a fire study will be done before the the city fire department goes full time. Then why has the city fire department gone to 24-hour shifts without anyone knowing? It seems that we residents are told one thing by the city council and city manager but then they turn around and do another.
Why have the many questions asked by the residents still not been answered? Why have there been no open public forums on regarding the city fire department? Why hasn't the city sat down with the county fire department and talked figures?
It seem like we are not being given the correct information. In an article in the Tehachapi News, Mr. Caudle says that the city council is going to do a fire study before going full time. In another article Mr. Caudle is talking about hiring more full-time firefighters.
It seems to me that if the city wants to spend $1.4 million on a fire department they would be better off working out a deal with the county fire department. The county fire department could provide much more and better resources for $1.4 million, which would bring a much higher level of protection than the city can provide with their one engine, one patrol and two personnel on duty per day.
Give us some honest answers.

John is 100% right when will we get the answers we have been asking for? Why fulltime, and why now? Why not after the study? Why do a study after the fact?

It's not dead. We are just waiting to see what happens this fall. This was not printed in this weeks paper. Hope to see it in next weeks.
