0 responses 0 comments The Kern County Hockey Club will be conducting open tryouts for youth ages 7 to 18 for the Bakersfield Dragon Hockey Teams. Tryouts will be held Aug. 4, 5 and 6 at the Bakersfield Ice Sports Center, 1325 Q St.

Tehachapi athletes that play Dragon hockey include Tyler Stuart, Jeff Algra and Davis Algra. All three participated in the So-Cal championships as well as the State Championships this past season. The club is looking to build on that prior success.
Teams expected to be fielded include Mites, age 8 and under; Squirts, age 10 and under; Peewee, age 12 and under; Bantam, age 14 and under; and Midget, age 18 and under.
Teams will compete against other clubs throughout Southern California. The season runs September to March.
