Assemblyman Kevin McCarthy of Bakersfield announced that his district office staff will hold office hours to assist constituents living in Tehachapi and surrounding areas on Tuesday, Aug. 15.

“Having office hours in our communities is a great way for my staff and me to keep informed on the issues most important to the hardworking people of Tehachapi,” McCarthy said. “These meetings also give us the opportunity to update people on upcoming legislation and to provide constituent services directly to the public.”

A field representative for McCarthy will be available to provide assistance with state agencies and discuss pending state issues Aug.15 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce, 209 E. Tehachapi Blvd. To schedule an appointment,  call the district office at (661) 395-2995.

McCarthy represents the 32nd Assembly District, which includes the communities of Bakersfield, Taft, Frazier Park, Tehachapi, Kern River Valley and the Ridgecrest area.
