Ramification of Walmart

It has come to my attention there is a possibility that a 200,000 square foot Walmart Super Center may be built in Tehachapi.
I would hope that Tehachapi City Council would consider the probable effects if this were to happen. WalMart would probably put the following stores out of business: K-Mart, Albertsons, Save-Mart and Rite-Aid.
This would create three shopping mall areas where large major buildings would be abandoned, and they would become blighted areas. I have seen abandoned shopping mall areas before. Most of them become a drag on the community with unkempt deteriorating structures.
