A memorial service was held Saturday, Aug. 19, at 3 p.m. at Wood Family Funeral Service for James Dennis Lee, 62, who passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 16.
James was born Jan. 3, 1944, in Oakland to Lief and Evelyn B. Frank Lee. He spent most of his life in Humboldt County working in the timber industry. In later years, he moved to the Tehachapi area, continuing in his logging career.

Mr. Lee is survived by the love of his life, Carol Rigby of Tehachapi; daughters, Tammy and Ray Benson of Carlotta, Suzanna and Leroy Shine of LaPlace, La., and Kristen and Todd Bean of Eaton, Colo.; sons, Michael Lee of Big Bear and Michael Rigby of Paso Robles; grandchildren, Kurtis and Vanessa Halley of Carlotta, Megan and Madison Shine of LaPlace, La., Garret and Seth Bean of Eaton, Colo. and Stephanie; sisters, Deborah Stone of Fortuna and Cheryl Dill of Anderson; and uncle, Dr. Henry Frank of Arcata.
He will be greatly missed by all his family.
Dr. Marvin Slifer conducted the service. Wood Family Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
