David L. Ferguson went to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 25. He was born to Kate Cook Ferguson and Bert L. Ferguson on July 17, 1926 in Sacramento. He was married to Ella Wiley Ferguson for almost 59 years.

He is survived by their three children, Dr. Cathy Ferguson Panten, John David Ferguson and Patty Ferguson Barton. He also leaves eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. His only sister, Dorothy Ferguson Hammer passed away three years ago.

David was a Director with the YMCA for 17 years and with the Los Angeles County for 20 years as an auditor. He served this country in the Navy during World War II aboard the Aircraft Carrier “USS Cowpens.” He attended the University of California, Berkeley, prior to going into the Navy and finished with a degree in Business Administration at the University of the Pacific, Stockton. He held a membership of 58 years in the Masonic Organization and was a member of the Stallion Springs Community Church. A memorial service was held for David at the Stallion Springs Community Church on Sunday, Oct. 1.
