Kiwanis Club installs new officers

0 responses 0 comments The Kiwanis Club of Tehachapi held their annual installation of officers on the evening of Oct. 4 at a meeting held at the Apple Shed restaurant. Ben Graham was installed as the new club president for the year 2006-2007 by Division 33 Lt. Governor Don Vareen. Walter Bulloch was installed as the President-elect for the 2007-2008 club year. The other officers installed were Paul Combs, Secretary; and Chuck Stowell, Treasurer. Immediate past Lt. Governor Wayne Deats recognized past President Joeann King for her outstanding leadership for the past year. Several members received recognition awards. Joeann presented Walter Bulloch with the “Kiwanian of the Year” award.
The Kiwanis Club of Tehachapi is part of Kiwanis International, a worldwide organization of local community service clubs located in 79 countries worldwide. Kiwanian raise approximately 100 million dollars annually, primarily to benefit children and youths. Nearly all funds raised locally stay in our community, helping various youth programs.
