Come celebrate the season with Tehachapi Community Theatre as they bring to life Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.” Moving like quicksilver, TCT's production of “A Christmas Carol“, is a fluid and fast paced filmic presentation in director Karl Schuck's faithful adaptation.

With each actor playing a variety of roles, the show becomes a showcase for each member of the ensemble, as well as Dickens' classic book. Included are many scenes which rarely appear in stage or film versions but are rich in language which reveal much more about Scrooge and his visitors than we are used to seeing.

"First and foremost, Charles Dickens wrote a cracking good ghost story, as well as the world's favorite Christmas tale," noted director Karl Schuck. "It has been a part of our observation of Christmas for 163 years. We all seem drawn to this tale of redemption, and delighted by Dickens’ vivid characters.

The principle assignments are as follows: Alex Zonn as Scrooge; Ken Chugg, Ghost of Christmas Past; Donald Thompson, Ghost of Christmas Present; John Hartgrove, Bob Cratchit; Royce Cox, Jacob Marley; Cambria Hynes, Tiny Tim; Abigail Thorpe as the boyhood Scrooge; Sharon Heitman, as Belle, Scrooge's young love; Annette Kirby as Mrs. Cratchit, and Barbara Meehan, the later Belle.

There will be five performances only. Evenings at 7:45 will be December 8, 9 and 15. Family matinees are Sundays at 2:30 on December 10 and 17.

Tickets for “A Christmas Carol” will go on sale Monday, December 4th and may be purchased in advance for $9.00 at the Apple Shed, Tehachapi Art Center, Old Towne Nursery and Johnny’s Take n’ Bake or for $12.00 at-the-door.

Make advance ticket purchases before 5 p.m. on the day of the performance. After 5 p.m., tickets will be at the theatre at 7:15 when doors open. For more information please call the TCT Hotline at 822-4037 or check out our website at www.tctplays.org.
