A $1,000 grand prize is being offered in a special religious poetry contest sponsored by Christian Fine Arts Society, free to everyone. There are 50 prizes in all, including a $1,000 grand prize, totalling more than $4,000.
To enter, send one poem of 21 lines or less to Free Poetry Contest, 1012 Beechwood Drive, Nappanee, IN 46550. Or enter online at www.freecontest.com. The deadline for entering is April 21.
“We think great religious poems can inspire achievement,” says Lavender Aurora, the organization’s contest director. Poems may be written on any subject, using any style, as long as there is a spiritual inference. A typical poem might be a love poem, or a poem of praise, one that inspires the reader.
Contestants name and address must appear on the page with the poem. For a winner’s list, enclose a stamped return envelope.
