It is shaping up to be quite a year for Main Street Tehachapi's annual summer event. The City of Tehachapi is overseeing the agricultural vendors and the community will enjoy several exciting additions to the market, such as the dramatically expanded produce selection and a fun kids' activity area with a petting zoo.
This year's market features a spectacular variety of products from many new and returning farms, including, Moessner Orchard, Tesch Family Farms, Keng Xiong, Murray Family Farms, Tangleweed Farm, Mountain Top Produce, Ken & Della's Produce, Partovi Ranch, JC's Berry Patch, Rangeland (Beef) and more throughout the season.
Shoppers will also have the opportunity to purchase items from local arts and crafts vendors as well as satisfy hungry family members by bringing home special treats for meals. Local favorite Kohnen's Bakery will have delicious hot bratwurst sandwiches for sale and if you didn't try one last year, now's your chance.
Most importantly, farmers markets are ideal for imaginative communities seeking to promote locally grown fresh produce and healthier lifestyles. The benefits of eating nutritious foods are numerous, as they are power-packed with natural vitamins and antioxidants.
