The Bible tells us that people who do not have a relationship with God are without hope. They do not have the confidence that gives believers peace even in an uncertain world.
If someone has lost all hope, they will feel despair. They will give up on improving their life and they will feel like they have nothing to live for.
Jesus told us that He came to give us hope. As long as we know Jesus we can have hope for a better tomorrow.
When Jesus enters our heart He assures us of God's love and forgiveness. This takes away our fear of God's punishment and gives us hope for our future.
Many people use the word hope to describe a wish, like winning the lottery, or a desire, like that their favorite team would win the big game. The Bible describes hope as the confidence that future events, though now unseen, will turn out according to God's promises.
When someone has God-given hope, they also have a vision concerning the future. They trust God and are looking forward to their future in His presence.
We know that Jesus will help us work through our struggles. We know that Jesus will provide us with everything that we need.
Our hope comes, not from the circumstances around us, but from God. Our hope in God is a complete assurance that God's promises are true.
All people need to have hope for their future. We need to know that, although we have not lived a perfect or sinless life, God forgives us and blesses us.
Jesus has given all of us hope by dying for our sins and rising to defeat death for us. May God grant us hope to look forward to serving Him both during this life and forevermore.
