Former Tehachapi Warrior and Fresno State Bulldog Chris Denman participates in blocking drill assignments for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during summer training at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Denman was a two-time All-League selection at Tehachapi High School and All-Western Athletic Conference tackle for Fresno State.
As a recently signed seventh-round draft pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, former Tehachapi High School Warrior and Fresno State Bulldog Chris Denman is set to embark where few Central Valley athletes have ventured, the lights of NFL stardom.
The former Tehachapi star is one of 80+ players on Tampa Bay’s current squad trying to make the 53-man roster or the practice squad by the Sept. 1 cut deadline. Currently, Denman is one of 16 linemen on the Bucs and prior to pre-season games is listed as a second-team right-tackle.
Video footage and brief commentary on Denman can be found by logging on to bucceaneers.com and clicking on the video link, ‘buccaneers insider: Wed Aug 8” under the multimedia network section of the page. Tampa Bay can be seen in action on the “NFL Network” in pre-season games against New England (Aug. 10), Jacksonville (Aug. 18), Miami (Aug. 25), and Houston (Aug. 30). Local listings have the games aired via tape-delay on the following dates and times:
