Sports Shorts: Double RR Car Co. donates car for THS Booster raffle

0 responses 0 comments The needs are many in Tehachapi High School athletics and Double RR Car Company has joined the fray of many generous donations by the community in donating a 1998 Ford Escort for a raffle-fundraiser for all THS sports. The car is in very good condition and features all of the “bells and whistles” for the model, including tint windows, power locks, CD player and more.
The car is on the lot at Double RR Car Company on the corner of Tehachapi Boulevard and Curry Street for any and all interested parties to take a look. The raffle tickets are $10 apiece and are available by contacting Warrior Booster President Chuck Hansen at 823-9870 or hansen587@sbcglobal.net. Individual tickets can also be purchased at the Warrior Booster Aug. 29 fall kick-off dinner and the first football home game of the season against LA Baptist, where the car will be on display on the field.
Booster fall kick-off dinner
On Wednesday, Aug. 29, the Waqrrior Booster Club will hold a first-annual fall-season kick-off dinner at the Tehachapi High School cafeteria. Cost of the meal will be $10 and will include a steak dinner with all the trimmings. This dinner will also be the selection of the “green seats” at football games (seats from the 35-yard line in). If there are any Mountain Football fans interested in reserving their season-seats please make sure and attend!
Annual Warrior Booster membership will also be available, which is $35 and includes a complementary 2007-2008 season t-shirt and hat.
