Recently a large group of friends and loved ones gathered at the Tehachapi Senior Center to remember and celebrate the life of Roger LeValley who passed away in June.  They shared a meal and danced to the music that Roger loved.  His friend, Jim Smith, and his band, the "Country Rounders" provided the music that got everyone's toes tapping.  Roger and companion, Margaret Hawkins, were very active at the Senior Center, especially when there was line dancing on the menu.

Band members playing and singing at the celebration were: Vicky Blair on bass guitar and hubby Hal Blair on drums.  Michael Hufford played the steel guitar; Ron Blair played rhythm guitar and Jim Smith brought it all together with the mandolin.  Jim's comment was, "Roger loved to dance more than anyone I ever knew".  The event was organized by Margaret Hawkins and Joann Dion.
