0 responses 0 comments A memorial service will be held for Laura Ellen Thompson Pappas on Aug. 31 at Immanuel Baptist Church, 201 Graff St., in Ridgecrest, at 1 p.m. Graveside services will be held at the East Line Street Cemetery, in Bishop, on Sept. 1 at 1 p.m.
Laura, the daughter of LaNelle and Thurl Thompson, passed away after a tragic accident that occurred on Highway 395, near Olancha, Calif. on Aug. 18, sadly affecting two Tehachapi area families. Laura’s husband, Rudy Pappas, Jr., son of Jackie and Rudy Pappas, of Tehachapi, remains hospitalized after undergoing extensive surgery in Las Vegas. Both families wish to thank our Tehachapi friends for their love and support.
