Members of Tehachapi Masonic Lodge No. 313 contributed clothing, non-perishable foodstuffs and other items to The Salvation Army Service Unit on East “E” St. on Wednesday, Sept. 5, in time for the organization’s fall and winter program.

Masonic Lodge members collected approximately fifty boxes and bags of clothing that will be distributed to Tehachapi residents who need assistance.  Donations of food, clothing, and money to the Tehachapi collection center is specifically used to benefit Tehachapi.

Led by Senior Warden Larry Griffin, a delegation of Freemasons, including Geoffrey Braslow, Willy Gutman, Jerry Huston and Jay Sussell were on hand at the brief bequest ceremony. Center Coordinator, Marget Willer, thanked the Masons for their generous support.

Active in more than 110 countries, The Salvation Army is one of the largest social care providers. It helps all people in need, regardless of race, color, creed, gender or age.
