Gayle Irene Carn, suddenly passed away on Oct. 8 at the age of 72 in Tehachapi.

The daughter of Royle Lloyd Jensen and Mary Alice Howarth-Jensen, Gayle was born on June 20, 1935, in Brigham City, Utah.

She was married to Donald Eugene Carn for 57 years. They were married on September 25, 1950, in Coalville, Utah. They moved to California in 1956 and lived in many areas of California, including, Sun Valley, Rosemead, Moreno Valley, Victorville, Bakersfield, Lancaster, and for the past three years, Tehachapi.

Gayle was a full-time wife and mother, yet she worked for many years in retail sales and in her later years, both she and her husband managed mobile home parks.

Her survivors include her husband, Don; her seven children, Debra Carn, Gordon Carn, MaryLou Hahn, Rodney Carn, David Carn, Ann Rojas, Donna Abasta, and her 21 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Mildred Streeper, and brother Steven Jensen. Preceding her in death were her parents; her sister, Ruth Smith, and her brother, Royle Jensen.

Services were officiated by Bishop Robert Hahn, Gayle's son-in-law, at Wood Family Funeral Chapel on Oct. 12, 2007.
