0 responses 0 comments Three students received certificates of award for Student of the Month at the Oct. 18 Lions Club meeting.
The staff at Jacobsen Middle School chose Seventh grader, Cody Timm. Cody excels in athletics, he plays safety and wide-receiver for his football team. Cody was awarded the all around player award for baseball. His hobby is snowboarding and he eventually wants to be a pro snowboarder.
The staff at Monroe selected Nikole Mason for their Student of the Month. Nikole diligently applies herself to school and is well liked by her fellow students. Upon Graduation, Nikole plans to attend Antelope Valley College and major in accounting. She eventually would like to move to Florida, and enjoy the “Sunshine State.”
The staff at Tehachapi High School selected Rebecca Barnes for their October Student of the Month. Rebecca is a 12th grader who has learned to be proficient in the Spanish language. She is also the drum major for the Warrior Band. Rebecca loves being involved n Rodeo activities. Upon graduation Rebecca wants to attend Fresno State College and become a special education teacher.
