Tehachapi News Columnist Jill Barnes Nelson and her husband, John, owners of Bar Double J Ranch in Cummings Valley recently held two open houses at their ranch. In addition to demonstrations and the horses offered for sale, two of the ranch’s top breeding studs, buckskin, Plain Gold Colonel, twice winner of the Open Reining at the Bear Valley Springs Horse Show and grullo, Tees Black Gold, an ETI National point winner, proudly strutted their stuff for prospective mates.
