0 responses 0 comments Gary Kent Searless, Jr. went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Nov. 27, 2007. Gary was born in Santa Maria, Calif. on Nov. 3, 1960 to Gary Kent Searles, Sr. and Wynona Sue Searles. Gary loved the Lord, his family and practically all living creatures, especially dogs. He had a gentle, giving spirit, was love by many and will be greatly missed.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Gary Kent Searles, Sr.; his grandparents, Dick and Margurette Crowell of Tehachapi; and his three cousins, Stephen Newell, Norman Newell and Darrin Crowell. He is survived by his mother, Sue Hill and her husband Jim of Hemet; his brother, Brian Searles and wife Louanna of Tehachapi; his nephews, Michael Riley and Morgan Searles; and his niece Emily Searles of Tehachapi as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Graveside services were held at the East Side Cemetery in Tehachapi on Monday, Dec. 10, 2007 at 9 a.m. where he was interred, followed by a reception at Country Oaks Baptist Church. Services were officiated by Pastor Andrew Walker. Pall bearers included: Michael Riley, Dick Crowell, DeeRoy Crowell, Jim Hill, Earl Armstrong and Brian Searles.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Country Oaks Baptist Church, 20915 Schout Road. Wood Family Funeral Service, Inc. handled the services.
