0 responses 0 comments Cummings Valley School was very well represented in the recent Oral Language Festival, taking first place in four of five elementary school categories at the district competition earlier this month.
Fourth and fifth grade students practice oral recitations and dramatic presentations for weeks in preparation for the annual event, which is held at the class, school, district, regional and county levels. Tehachapi Unified School District winners competed against Southern Kern County districts at the regional level, and Cummings Valley School students in three categories took first place to qualify for the final Kern County competition in February.
