Carden School of Tehachapi has collected stuffed animals to decorate the school tree for the past six years. The students look forward to filling the tree with as many stuffed animals as possible. The school has collected around 250 critters each year. These stuffed animals are given to the Technical Investigators of the Kern County Sheriff Office. They are used when the investigators go out on calls involving children. The larger animals are taken directly to the Jamison Children’s Center.

Sergeant Camps and Technical Investigator Richard Bernard came to the school to accept the stuffed animals and present the school with a plaque in appreciation for all the animals collected for the department.
