Dory Nelson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and educator, entered this world on July 3, 1957 and returned to heaven on Dec. 28, 2007.

Dory raised two sons Nicolas and Andrew to be men with good hearts. She also raised Bill Nelson to be a good husband and father, also with a good heart. While raising her boys she set her mind that she would become a teacher. She attended CSUB obtaining her Bachelors Degree, and Teaching Credential. Dory was hired by the Tehachapi School District, and worked at Wells and Cummings Valley, eventually landing at Golden Hills Grammar School as a Kindergarten Teacher. This is where Dory shined, she brought her unconditional love for children into the classroom.

She wore a perfect outfit for every holiday. She also convinced Santa Clause to regularly come to her classroom. The teachers and staff of Golden Hills became her second family. Teaching Kindergarten for fifteen years she touched many lives, and the legacy goes on.

When Dory became a grandmother her life became complete. Instantly acquiring a permanent smile and immediately began the learning process with Sebastian. Both boys brought special women in to the family, and Dory excepted them as her own. Dory will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Dory will be eternally missed by her family, husband, Bill; sons, Nicholas and Andrew; wife and fiance Paulina and Amy; Sisters, Beth, Susan, Nancy and Joan; brother, Michael and the love of her life, grandson, Sebastian.

Dory continued to give even after death by becoming an organ donor so others will live.

A memorial service was held at Mountain Bible Church attended by throngs of family and friends. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Huntington Disease Foundation.

Good by darling I will see you soon.

— Bill
