The Tehachapi Branch of the Kern County Library has a nice slate of programs scheduled for the month of February.
Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. is Preschool Storytime. On Thursday. Feb. 7 there will be special storytime called the ABCs of Good Nutrition. This storytime is part of the “One Book One Bakersfield...One Kern” events centered on the book, Fast Food Nation, by Eric Schlosser. Food stories and nutritious snacks will be served.
Saturday, Feb. 16 from 1 to 3 p.m. is the monthly Computer Class. This month, branch supervisor Kris Duke will show how to use the online library catalog. The mysteries of ValleyCat will be revealed. Kris Duke will also demonstrate how to use a few of the many databases offered on the Kern Conuty Library's homepage.
The Friends of the Tehachapi Library will hold their monthly meeting on Monday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. at the library. The public is welcomed to attend and new members are always needed.
