Jacobsen Middle School 8th grade “Careers” elective course spent a day at Bakersfield College last month.
Students and volunteers had a wonderful day exploring the campus along with an informative Power Point presentation and lunch.
The college tour is a follow up to the semester long “Careers” elective which includes career research using “Careerlocker.” Careerlocker is a program using assessments to match students with occupations they may be interested in, occupation research, and educational planning including access to technical, community and four year universities nation wide. Careerlocker is also part of the Tehachapi High School curriculum and is available to registered students.
