Joyce was born in Falconer, N.Y. on May 29, 1929, to parents Myrl and Ida McChesney. She passed away March 2, in Bakersfield. Services were held March 11 at Bear Valley Springs Church.
Joyce loved children, especially her own. She was blessed to have lived a life full of joy, love, and travels.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 55 years, Wendell; son; Dale Samuelson, of Carlsbad, Calif., daughter, Wendy Daniels, of Brookings, Ore. Also her grandchildren; Denise Carnes, Joshua Kacey and Loni Daniels; great-grandchildren; Autumn and Lucas Daniels and Hanna and Karissa Carnes.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Myrl and Ida McChesney, of Falconer, N.Y., and two brothers and two sisters.
Joyce was a long-time member of Bear Valley Springs Womens Club and Sportsmans Club. Joyce and Wendell were very active in many Chambers of Commerce. Joyce was also a member of Temple City Soroptomist Club. You could always catch Wendell and Joyce at the Bear Valley Country Club Restaurant.
