The students of Cummings Valley Elementary School and the Student Council are reaching out to our local animal shelters and rescues by collecting change in bottles donated by Sparkletts water, in each of the 35 classrooms.

Students will begin next week with collecting the change and will continue throughout the remainder of the school year. At the end of the year, the Student Council will collect and weigh the water bottles, and the winning K-1, 2-3, and 4-5th grade class will receive a treat from the Student Council for the heaviest bottle. The Student Council will then exchange the coins for a gift card for five local animal rescues or shelters.

This is a fantastic opportunity for students and parents to reach out and support those animal groups in helping to feed and find homes for our local furry friends. We greatly appreciate you support in helping our local animal rescues and shelter in the Tehachapi area.
