Please join us in celebrating Canine Creek’s 4th annual birthday bash and fundraising event this Saturday April 5th by giving your best furry friends a bath. From 10 AM to 6 PM Canine Creek Dog Wash is generously donating all revenue earned from bathing to our rescued Doberman Pinschers. In addition to the bathing proceeds we will have a raffle with a long list of prizes (see http://www.caninecreek.com/... many vendors, booths, food and music for all-family dog-loving fun!
The number of dogs arriving in rescue has increased due to the increase in housing foreclosures and the trend of previously high-kill shelters towards low or no-kill. Rescue organizations like our own bear the financial and emotional burden of caring for these unwanted dogs until permanent homes are found.
Dobie SOS currently houses 45 rescued Dobermans. Most were pulled from So. Cal shelters where they were facing euthanasia. All of our Dobermans receive veterinary exams and they are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm tested and micro-chipped prior to placement. Many of these dogs are in poor condition when they arrive: broken legs, mange, malnutrition, and lack of socialization are some of the problems we commonly face. We need your support to continue to help this magnificent, but misunderstood and much maligned breed.
