S.T.O.P. to host workshop with ‘Dog Whisperer’s’ protégé

The Board members of Save Tehachapi's Orphaned Pets (S.T.O.P.) and several staff members at Tehachapi Pet Lodge were witness to the power of a strong pack leader early this month, when Delores Burton, owner of K-9 Campus, came to town.
The protégé of Cesar Milan, the famous “Dog Whisperer,” came to Tehachapi to work with two S.T.O.P. dogs, Maximus and Cesar, who were having “issues” with each other. After working with both dogs for only an hour, they were able to walk together, just like you have seen on the Dog Whisperer episodes on the National Geographic Channel.
Delores specializes in dog behavior problems and uses many of Cesar Milan's techniques as well as her own brand of training. She has graciously offered to host a fundraiser for S.T.O.P. and a few members of the public will have a chance to participate by signing up their own dogs for special training classes. S.T.O.P. will be raising money for their shelter fund and for vet care for their foster animals.
S.T.O.P.'s foster families will also be invited to witness and participate in the training so that the foster dogs adopted out by the group will be better behaved dogs in their new homes.
