I would to thank the Sail Thru Carwash for sponsoring Boy Scout Troop 3’s fundraiser. The fundraiser was held on April 6 & 7, 2008 over a two day period. The Sail Thru Carwash donated $5 to the troop for every "Works" car wash when presented with a fundraiser coupon. The Sail Thru Carwash has sponsored several community fundraisers to include church youth groups, robotics teams, and Boy Scouts of America. By doing this, they have demonstrated a strong community involvement and an investment in the youth of Tehachapi. This investment will have long lasting effects as these young people pursue their future goals in society. It also fosters our youth to get involved in team projects resulting in an overall positive impact on the community.
The BSA uses these funds for camping trips, which involves training that is useful in their adult life and in the form of merit badges. Merit Badges aid the scout in ultimately obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout. Quite often, this type of accomplishment helps an individual through his life. Many successful people in this country are Eagle Scouts. Note: the rank is never rescinded. This all leads back to people like the ones at the Sail Thru Carwash who are willing to get involved and help our youth succeed. Again, (to the Sail Thru Carwash) thanks for helping out Troop 3 and I hope your involvement in our youth catches on with more business in Tehachapi. The Sail Thru Carwash is located at 532 Tucker Road in Tehachapi.
