Recently, six soccer players from Tehachapi traveled to the home field of Palmdale Thunder to participate in a training session with players from the Major League Soccer team, LA Galaxy.

Casey Weisenseel, Max Weisenseel and Kyle Mathes-Orr from the Tehachapi Gryphons soccer club joined Megan Bryant, Heather Galeano, Amanda Mathes-Orr and over 100 other Palmdale Thunder Soccer Club players for an evening clinic with the LA Galaxy players.

Running drills, signing autographs and taking time out for a private photo session with the Tehachapi soccer players were LA Galaxy players, #1 Steve Cronin, #26 Ely Allen, #28 Sean Franklin, #32 Brandon McDonald, and #24 Julian Valentin.

The hometown Thunder crowd cheered loud and long when Sean Franklin, a former Palmdale player was introduced.

Everyone participating in the clinic received an autograph from each of the Galaxy players, a Galaxy soccer ball, and a ticket to the LA Galaxy vs. Chivas USA game on Saturday, April 26 at the Home Depot Center.

Art Gomez, founder and coach, of the Palmdale Thunder Soccer Club invited all in attendance to return next year for the annual event.
