We truly do appreciate the support we received for our Craft and Bake Sale and hope you continue this support when we have our Annual Rummage Sale on May 10. Dr. Warsaw is first in line though as again he is giving up his time and parking lot for us. The location is easy access and easy to find, 20211 Valley Blvd. We'll be starting at 8 a.m. and will finish up around 2 p.m. So come out and see what we have that you can use.
Our adoption day will be on Saturday, May 3 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Tehachapi Pet Lodge & Outfitters, 20693 Woodford-Tehachapi Road. My personal favorite is a handsome young teenage cat named “Tig-ems.” He is absolutely the sweetest and friendliest cat around. I don't think he's met a stranger yet, and really likes attention. He would make a wonderful companion and needs to have his love returned in kind.
We'll be selling raffle tickets for two great prizes. You have a choice, better yet, buy tickets for both. The Hitching Post Theater is again being generous to us by providing two, year long passes to the movies. These can be used as often as you want during the year. The drawing will be on June 27. Then friends of Tehachapi Humane Society donated a $300, beautifully framed, lithograph to be raffled. This prize drawing will be on August 24. The tickets for both of these raffles are selling for $1 per ticket or six tickets for $5.
Our shot clinic, provided by Dr. Beverly Billingsley, will be on Saturday, May 10 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at our office, located the corner of Golden Star and Golden Hills Boulevard. Staff will be on hand to issue dog licenses during this time, just be sure to bring proof of spay/neuter to save on fees, and be sure we receive a copy of the rabies certificate.
