“The fact that all classes have the ability to see what is going on here is a great learning tool and really shows that the Internet is a viable source of teaching,” said Christian Brown, Director of Technology for the Tehachapi Unified School District.

Brown is very pleased with the efforts of the Tehachapi News and Tehachapi High’s The Voice. The two newspapers have joined forces and are updating www.tehachapinews.com with up-to-the-minute, live articles about the events at today's Career Fair.

“It’s great to see the large amount of students, teachers, and faculty tuning into the coverage,”  Brown said.

With updates and new stories accruing as often as every hour, the Tehachapi News and The Voice are please with the results.

“Instant gratification is the new trend in journalism,” said  Carin Enovijas,  editor of the Tehachapi News.

She is very excited with the opportunity The Voice has been provided with today: To reach an audience of thousands in a matter of hours. The Voice is a monthly newspaper with four pages. Today, The Voice has published nearly a dozen articles and numerous photos in just four hours.

“The community will be pleasantly surprised with the professionalism and the quality of the work these students are producing. Without this online tool, only a small number of people would have access to the information these students are gathering and reporting today,” Enovijas said.

The Voice would like to send out our very most thanks and love to Carin and the Tehachapi News for their help today.
