Tehachapi thought that the game might be another one-run contest after a 10-9 loss to Bakersfield Christian earlier in the season, but no one could have predicted the one-run difference coming after 30-29 score in one of the most impressive offensive shows in the history of Warrior baseball.

Bakersfield Christian opened the game with a 13-3 lead after three innings at bat, but Tehachapi then exploded for three runs in the bottom of the third, 15 runs in the bottom of the fourth, and seven runs in the bottom of the fifth to take an astounding 28-19 lead.

The Eagles would fight back with 10 runs of their own in the sixth to take the lead, but two runs in the bottom of the inning sealed the deal for Mountain Baseball in the win.

Johnny Holguin went 4-6 with a homerun, four RBIs, and a double, Brock Tessandori went 4-6 with six RBIs and a double, Sean Arbaut went 3-6 with six RBIs, and Franky Rodriguez went 3-5 with a homerun and three RBIs.

Jimmy Lopez continued his hot play at bat with three hits, two runs scored, and three RBIs, while Robert Berryman had two hits, two doubles, and two RBIs.

Tehachapi will close out the league season (7-15; 7-6 SSL) in two games against Arvin on the road on Tuesday and at home this Friday. Both games will start at 4 p.m.

The Braves split their week with Bakersfield Christian by taking a 24-9 win at home on Tuesday and closing out the season series with an 8-3 loss last Friday in Bakersfield.

Christian Torres had two hits and Zach Pettit and Anthony Urso both had triples to help lead the big run win, while Pettit had two singles and Zach St. John had a double to lead Tehachapi (12-10; 8-5 SSL) in the week.

Zach Timm pitched both games for Tehachapi.
