My recent experience with S.T.O.P. (Save Tehachapis Orphaned Pets) has raised my awareness (again) about how hard this volunteer group works to rescue dogs that are scheduled for a death they do not deserve. They also work to save some pets that have to be given up by their owners for various reasons.
They try to be aware of what's happening at as many of the Kern County shelters as possible and it takes many volunteers. S.T.O.P. needs people who can donate a little time, not just homes, to help save a many lives, as possible.
And yes, I did rescue a little, bitty, sweetheart who is so full of life and love it can’t be measured.
Next time you need to feel good call Chelley at 823-4100 and ask her what you can do to help.
