Main Street Tehachapi held its annual awards breakfast on April 30 at La Bella Amore restaurant on Green Street to honor all those who have contributed to the success of downtown Tehachapi over the past year.

Michelle Vance, Executive Director of Main Street said, “I want to thank all of those who worked so hard to promote downtown.”

Invited guests were thanked for their support and treated to breakfast and a slide show presentation detailing the many exciting and successful projects and events that have brought downtown alive.

And the winners are...

• Volunteer of the Year: Claudia Henson

• Retail Promotion: Farmers Market, Larry Barrett and Rebecca Bergstrom

• Business of the Year: Tehachapi Flower Shop, Kandi Smith 

• Promotional Event Award: Trunk or Treat, Rebecca Bergstrom

• Historic Rehabilitation Project: Historic Train Depot, Project Manager Mike Pera

• Facade Renovation: Taco Samich, Irma Sanchez

• Main Street Hero: Greg Garrett

A special award for his service as Past President was presented to Adrian Moore.
