Mr. and Mrs. Stephen and Debra Kilp of Mesquite, Nev. are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lesley Michelle Kilp, to Jeremy Robert Haenny, son of John and Lyn Haenny, of Tehachapi.


Lesley is a 1997 graduate of Tehachapi High School and a 2002 graduate of California State University, Bakersfield, with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science and International Relations. She works full time in the Congressional Affairs office for the U.S. Department of the Interior, in Washington, DC. She is currently obtaining her Master’s Degree in Homeland Security Studies from American Military University.


Jeremy is a 1999 graduate of Tehachapi High School. He is currently serving as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force were he works as a Communication/Navigation/Missions system Craftsmen on the C-5 Galaxy cargo aircraft. Just recently, Jeremy returned from his third overseas tour in direct support of the War on Terrorism and has applied for a special duty assignment with the Presidential Logistics Squadron Andrews AFB, MD.


The couple will wed on Aug. 23, 2008, at the Lodge at Woodward West in Stallion Springs. They plan to reside in the Washington, DC area after their honeymoon.
