After qualifying 32 athletes at the Ridgecrest track meet earlier in the season, the Bulldogs looked to test their mettle against stiffer competition in Bakersfield, and came away with 14 qualifiers for the Kern County Championships.
The Bulldogs had an Intermediate boys 4x100 relay time of 50.69, while other Bulldogs posted impressive results. Cameron Gamble had a youth boys 1500m time of 4:43.73, Charles Hanson had a youth boys 100m time of 11.9 and a 200m time of 24.7, and Selena Demus had a youth girls 100m time of 13.34, 200m time of 27.3, long jump of 15'4", and high jump of 4'10".
Ray Hosier had an intermediate boys 100m time of 12.09, 200m time of 25.5, and shot put throw of 34'9", while Brian Castaneda had an intermediate boys 200m time of 26.8 and long jump of 16'5". Paige Bennett had a youth girls 400m time of 1:06.6, high jump of 4'8", Sam Hawksley had an intermediate boys 400m time of 1:02.08, while Andrew Jimenez had a youth boys shot put of 34' 6".
Jacobsen’s AJ Snider posted the intermediate girls high jump mark of 4'10" and triple jump of 29'1", Justin Hedberg had an intermediate boy high jump 5', and David Veszpeller had a midget boys long jump of 14'1" and high jump of 4'4". Laney Ricker had a midget girls long jump of 12'1", while Joshua Lara closed out the impressive day with a youth boys 800m mark of 2:25.62
