The Boy Scouts of Tehachapi will be conducting their 2nd Annual Flag Retirement Ceremony on Flag Day, Saturday June 14th, at the Coy Burnett Stadium at 126 Snyder Ave. Gates open at 5pm, ceremony starts at 6pm.
Come and see how our Nation's Flag is retired. If you have any flags that need to be retired, please drop them off at one of the three Fire Stations. Kern County Fire Station (corner of Curry & Valley), BVS Fire Station or Stallion Springs Fire Station. You may also drop a flag off at the VFW office located at 221 Tehachapi Blvd.
Last year at the 1st annual Flag Day Ceremony, over 200 people were in attendance and the Boy Scouts retired over 400 flags. This was a memorable event.
This year's theme is for "For Those Who have Served" All are Welcome to attend this event, especially former and active military personnel.
