Kudos to Kelly Phillips and Miranda Mistretta for being selected students of the month for May. Kelly Phillips received the award at Tehachapi High because she was a “Peer facilitator extraordinaire.”
Kelly coordinated the class dance for the annual Lip Sync fundraiser and was recently elected commissioner for spirits and rallies for upcoming 2008-09 school year. Kelly is also an accomplished dancer, a good academic student and was second runner up for Junior Miss this year.
Miranda Mistretta was honored at Jacobsen Middle School for her achievements academically and for being a peer volunteer. Miranda is also a member of “Night Lights,” enjoys playing soccer, and looks forward to a career working with neglected animals or becoming an animal rescuer.
Congratulations to these fine students.
