Hall Ambulance Service, Inc. has announced the recipients of this year's Harvey L. Hall/Hall Ambulance Medical Scholarships. Eighteen graduates from across Kern County received financial assistance, which is available to students pursuing a career in medicine.
This marks the 10th year the Harvey L. Hall/Hall Ambulance Medical Scholarships have been presented. Since its inception, more than 168 students have benefited from $44,500 in financial aid. Eligible seniors are those who reside within Hall Ambulance Service's operational area, which covers 87 percent of Kern County.
The presentations were made over the last several weeks, either by Mr. Hall or by a member of his management staff.
“It's encouraging to see the level of competency exhibited by these young adults,” says Mark Corum, Manager of Public-Media Relations. “Our community will certainly be in good hands as they transform from students into medical professionals,” he said.
