After years of planning and support from our members, the Greater Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce will begin the remodel and expansion of the Chamber office this summer.
“The remodel is expected to take about four to five months and expand the building from it’s current 570 sq. ft. to approximately 1200 sq. ft.,” said Ida Perkins, Chamber President.
The first step in moving forward will be the relocation of the Chamber office to a temporary location at 798 Tucker Rd, Ste 4, on the corner of Valley Boulevard and Tucker Road, next to RE/MAX in the Loop Center.
The Chamber office will be closed beginning Monday, June 30th through Friday, July 4th for the move. It will reopen on Monday, July 7th at 9:00 a.m. for business as usual.
The newly renovated building will also house one of the new Kern County Board of Trade’s, Visitor Information Kiosks on the porch area. This Kiosk will enable visitors to get information on local events, businesses, hotels, and restaurants during hours that the Chamber is closed.
The Chamber Board of Directors and Staff would like to take this opportunity to say “Thank You” to all of our members for your continued support to our Building Fund. Your support has made our dream a reality.
